The Wine Company @ Dempsey Hill

　　Located at Dempsey Hill which was the British garrison until the fall of Singapore in 1942, after the war, it was home to the General Headquarters of the Far East Land Forces until the withdrawal of British troops in 1971. The Area has seen a new lease of life with many of the old quarters being transformed into fashionable eateries and bars of which The Wine Company is one.

　　The brief from this client was to provide a warm inviting atmosphere conducive to both diners and drinkers alike without being too gloomy for the interior lighting and pools of light and dark for the landscape lighting.

　　业主的诉求就是灯光可以创造有利于食客和饮酒者的温暖诱人的气氛，使室内照明、游泳池照明和景观照明不会过暗。

　　There were limitations on the design as the interior roof could not have lights fixed to it, therefore it was decided to use cove lighting to uplight the roof which would then cast ambient light down to the central seating area. For this we used Amber and Warm White LED combined in order to compliment the colour of the rattan covering the ceiling. The same treatment was given to the uplighting for the bar fronts. The wine racks around the outside of the venue were lit using dimmed halogen spotlights whilst a plain wall had downlights mounted close to the wall to create a scalloped effect.

　　设计存在限制性，室内的屋顶不能固定地安装灯具，所以决定采用内凹照明点亮屋顶，使灯光可以投照在中央座位区。为此，我们使用了琥珀色和温暖的白色LED光源组合，以补充天花板覆盖藤的颜色。相同的照明解决方案被应用于酒吧前面。酒架周围的场地使用了卤素聚光灯照亮暗淡的区域，一面平面墙则安装了射灯，于接近墙的部分创建了一种扇形效应。

　　The landscape lighting is halogen in this case but with dichroic filters fitted in order to accentuate the colours of the trees and flowering plants. Finally , at the front of the building, asymmetric floodlights were mounted just above gutter level to light the terracotta roof to draw attention to the venue from the dark road.

　　景观照明在这种情况下采用了卤素灯，但安装了双色过滤器以突出树木和植物开花的颜色。最后，在大楼前面，不对称的泛光灯被安装在水槽上方，点亮了陶瓦屋顶以吸引来自黑暗道路上的注意力。
